Benefits:

Illness Detection

Foresite prevents illnesses and other negative life events before they happen. Foresite passively and discretely monitors movements, activity level, heart and respiratory rates and many other factors. The technology quickly knows your body in an incredibly precise fashion. The slightest deviation in width of gait, speed of gait, posture, heart or respiratory rate, activity level or a myriad of other metrics could trigger an alert to a nurse, doctor or loved one because of an increased likelihood of a fall, stroke, heart attack, urinary tract infection or other negative life event. If you do suffer one of these events, Foresite will send an alert immediately to you and also all of your emergency contacts if you want. Foresite is successful as an early illness detection device and to more closely monitor your health.

Fall Prevention and Fall Risk Assessment

Foresite passively and continuously analyzes movements and gait. By observing just a few initial steps with privacy protecting images, Foresite provides an assessment which is translated into the popular Timed Up and Go (TUG) score. Every time the user walks, an additional TUG assessment is provided so that improvement or deterioration is detected. Users are automatically assessed providing easy, available information to caregivers and information to Foresite to use throughout the Foresite system.

Fall Alert

Foresite immediately identifies a fall and sends an alert to nurses, doctors and loved ones so care is provided instantaneously. The sensors have alerted on tens of thousands of falls over the course of tens of millions of hours of monitoring people. No button needs to be pushed and nothing needs to be worn. Foresite is completely passive technology that identifies a fall based on movement and immediately sends an alert with imaging to caregivers and loved ones when it witnesses a fall.

Rewind and Review

The fall imaging can be analyzed immediately so proper care can be provided and reviewed indefinitely so a greater understanding exists of why and how a user is falling. Immediate privacy protecting imaging shows how the user fell and which body parts were affected. Long term analysis can be done on the imaging to know why the user fell and what they were doing immediately prior to the fall so a better understanding exists to prevent future falls.

Vital Sign Monitoring

Foresite monitors your heart and respiratory rates so if there is a deviation in your vital signs you, your caregivers and loved ones are alerted immediately. Again, this is done passively and no devices are worn and no buttons need to be pushed.

Pressure Ulcer Alert

Foresite monitors users’ movements or sometimes lack of movements which could result in pressure ulcers. If a user’s lack of movement puts him or her at risk for pressure ulcers an alert will be sent to the caregiver and loved ones so proper care can be provided. Again, movements or lack of movements can be tracked and precisely quantified so the risk of pressure ulcers is minimized.

Bed Exit Alert

Foresite notifies nurses prior to a patient exiting the bed giving staff the opportunity to provide assistance and prevent a patient from being injured. Foresite monitors the patient’s on bed movements and sends the nurse an alert when the patient begins exhibiting the behaviors of someone exiting a bed. This advanced notice allows the nurse to provide assistance in exiting the bed and/or walking the patient to their destination thus preventing a possible fall. Bed alarms notify when the patient is exiting the bed and the warning is often too late or even false. Foresite analyzes movements prior to exiting the bed providing the earliest possible notification with a higher degree of accuracy.

The bed alert works in conjunction with our Fall Risk Assessment technology tailoring the system so patients with a high risk assessment trigger the bed exit notification but patients with a low risk assessment do not trigger the notification.
